Terms of Service

1. Service Description

HIPPie, operated by BHware.Co, provides a photo and video originality service through the hippie.land website and the HIPPie mobile app. Creators use the app to make original records, and viewers use HIPPie links or the website to look up those records; whether a file matches its original record is checked in the HIPPie app. If you make your account private, only followers you approve can see your posts and stories, and you can edit a post's caption after publishing — an edited post shows an "Edited" label, and the captured original and its originality result cannot be edited.

2. Service Conditions

HIPPie is a service that keeps improving. By using it, you agree to the following.

• Feature changes — Features may be added, changed, or discontinued to improve the service; changes that materially affect your use will be announced as described in Section 10.
• Availability — The Service may be interrupted or behave unexpectedly, and uninterrupted use is not guaranteed.
• Fees — Features currently offered free of charge may become paid later. We will give prior notice in the Service before any such change.
• Data retention — We operate with the goal of preserving registered records; however, to the extent permitted by applicable law, the company is not liable for data loss that occurs without its intent or negligence. We recommend keeping separate copies of important records using the app's download feature.
• Limits as evidence — HIPPie records are reference information and do not substitute for legal judgment or expert review.

3. Eligibility (Adults Only)

This service is for adults only. You must be at least 19 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if it is higher, to use this service. Minors may not use HIPPie under any circumstances, and registration with the consent of a legal guardian is not offered. By using HIPPie, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. User Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the photos, videos, captions, profile details, messages, and links you register or share through HIPPie.
• You must not use the service to register illegal, harmful, or infringing content.
• You must not attempt to circumvent security measures, rate limits, or anti-bot protections.
• You must not impersonate others, mislead viewers about a HIPPie badge, or create fraudulent original records.
• You must not post, send, or register content that harasses or endangers others, promotes hate or violence, sexually exploits anyone, sexualizes minors, is sexually explicit or pornographic, or is otherwise unlawful — and you must not send spam. These rules apply to direct messages exactly as they apply to public content. Content or accounts that break these rules can be reported in the app, and we review reports.
• You are responsible for keeping your original files. HIPPie does not keep your original photos or videos on its servers (for the temporary storage used to hand over an original or send a verified copy, see Section 5 of the Privacy Policy), and only an unmodified, byte-identical file can be verified against your record — if every such copy is lost, the record can no longer be matched to any file.

5. Verification Results

HIPPie results answer a narrow question: whether the checked copy matches a HIPPie original record. A "No HIPPie record" result does not mean the content is fake or unlawful. A "Copy changed" result means the checked copy does not match the original record HIPPie found. HIPPie compares the file's exact bytes against the original record. A copy that has been re-encoded, cropped, filtered, had its metadata edited, or been re-uploaded through a social platform that recompresses media is a different file, and it will not verify as the original even when it looks identical.

6. HIPPie-Verified Badge

A creator can qualify for the HIPPie badge by using the HIPPie camera consistently, keeping accurate profile information, avoiding abuse, and following these terms. Gallery uploads and manual viewer checks do not create badge eligibility. HIPPie may remove or pause a badge if an account misleads viewers, violates rights, or harms service integrity.

7. Intellectual Property

Registering content through HIPPie does not transfer your ownership. You give HIPPie only the permissions needed to operate the service, display records you choose to make public, provide viewer checks, support sharing links, prevent abuse, and comply with law.

8. Payments and Refunds

HIPPie currently has no paid features. If we later offer some features as paid (such as exporting an original without the protective mark, or handing over an original), we will give prior notice as described in Section 2; purchases will then be processed through the Apple App Store using in-app purchase, and the price is shown before you buy. Because exported files and hand-overs are digital content delivered immediately, your statutory right of withdrawal may be limited once delivery has begun, to the extent permitted by law and with your consent at purchase. Refund requests are handled through the app store's refund process; contact us at admin@bhware.com for assistance.

9. Limitation of Liability

HIPPie is provided "as is" to the fullest extent allowed by law. We do not promise that every copy can be checked, that every creator claim is complete, or that viewer checks replace legal, editorial, or professional review. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Service Modifications

We may update the service, badge rules, safety rules, or these terms. When changes materially affect your use, we will make reasonable efforts to give notice unless urgent security, abuse, legal, or operational reasons require faster action.

11. Reports, Enforcement, and Termination

You can report objectionable content or an abusive user from within the app — posts, stories, comments, profiles, and direct messages are all covered — and you can block a user so they can no longer contact you. We review every report we receive and aim to act within 24 hours of receipt. Content that breaks these rules is removed, and the user who posted or sent it is ejected from the service, with their account suspended or permanently terminated. A post that enough separate users report is hidden automatically while it waits for review, and a post you report is hidden from your own view immediately. Posts and comments also go through an automated check before publication: content the check holds is not published until an operator reviews it, and text judged to break these rules is not published.

We enforce these rules with graduated action, proportionate to the violation and to whether it is repeated or severe: we may hide or remove an individual post, story, comment, direct message, or other content; limit features; pause a HIPPie-Verified badge; or suspend or permanently terminate an account. When we suspend an account we show the reason at sign-in, and you may appeal by contacting admin@bhware.com — we aim to respond within a reasonable time. Even a suspended account can request its own deletion by signing in to the app. Deletion may be put on hold while a legal retention obligation or a preservation request from an authority applies; in that case we direct you to support. Evidence copies of reported content are kept for their existing retention period regardless of account deletion. You may delete your account and request data erasure at any time under our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes are subject to the courts of the Republic of Korea. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence (including the EU) continue to apply and are not affected by this clause.
